Why Stam-E

What Horse Lovers Like You Have to Say About Stam-E Equine Electrolye Bars

"As a large and small animal vet I have suggested Stam-E bars to several of my horse clients with great success. Everything from polo ponies to dressage horses, and horses that are non-sweaters. The results are consistent and beneficial to both the horse and client."

Dr. Rebecca Fatiello DVM Ocala, Fl

"I have used Stam-E for 5 years and I would not trail ride in Florida without them. When I ride with other people my horse is one of the first to drink, while other riders worry if their horse will stay hydrated, I don't have to care. I know he is, and he only eats the Stam-E bars if he needs them. I can't afford to waste my money on any other electrolyte product I know this works! "

Carol Long Ocala, Fl.

"I love the Stam-E bars! I give a bar to catch my horse before trailing, he thinks he is getting a treat. I then offer him water when I off load and get ready to show and he drinks. I feel good about showing him when I know he is comfortable and ready to give me his best. "

Connie Claire Lady Lake, FL

"I tried it on my horse and I like it myself. I do a lot of three-day events as a vendor. It's easy because you can just carry it with you. The fact that you don't shove it in your horses' mouth--they just take it--- it's very nice."

"All of my horses have given a very enthusiastic “2 hoofs up” to the electrolyte bars."

Susan Woods

"I first became acquainted with your Equine Electrolyte Bars at the Rocking Horse 2005 Winter Horse Trials. The concept of a direct and timely electrolyte delivery (not in a tube!) was impressive. So, I tested your Equine Electrolyte Bars under several stress situations with my own school horses and my Prix St. George Horse with great success. The horses think they are getting a treat, and I get peace of mind knowing they have the electrolyte advantage to do their jobs and to be their best. In fact, while recently updating my first aid kit, Equine Electrolyte Bars were among my first essentials packed; especially during our hot Florida weather.

Thank you for such an innovative product, and wishing you continued success."

Carrie Zahradnik, Dressage Instructor

"Thank you for the information on your bars. I have QH and Apps that are used for family trail riding, lessons for beginning riders, and one that is going through Parelli training with me.

Recently with the summer heat two of the horses have stopped sweating. They are fat on the ever growing grass and giving them grain just to add supplements is not an option. Your bars are perfect for this situation and I’ll be assured they will drink enough water."

A message from the creator of Stam-E Bars Equine Electrolyte Treatment

My horse died of old age and not ready to get another one to soon, I started mountain bike riding, in Florida, in the summertime. Not the best idea I’ve ever had. But I love the woods and I thought it would be great exercise.

I always kept water with me and I thought that was enough, I thought I didn’t need to fall for the hype of all those sport drinks, plus they just…tasted bad.

One hot day as I was pounding my heart out on the trail, thinking a richer woman would be in an air-conditioned gym, getting a massage afterward….I started to drift into hallucinations. I realized that I was out of water and I had to ask for some of that dreaded sport drink from my riding partner.

Within seconds I felt a tingle in every cell of my body as the electrolytes rushed to my thirsty potassium deprived cells. I felt energy flow back into my body. I had the power to continue, I felt great!

I also had, had enough of biking and got another horse (whoever says a bike is less work, is out of their mind). I began doing research. I was amazed when I found out that horses sweat through their pores just like us. They have long and short muscle fibers, just like us. In fact our physiology is so similar that we use their estrogen for hormone replacement therapy and we use the protein from their blood to make anti-venom and some forms of anesthesia.

Next I went out to see what was available in the equine marketplace. I started with the most expensive paste I could find. Only the best would do for my equine partner, which gives me his all each and every time we ride. After several attempts with different brands, the results were always the same. I would shove the paste into my poor exhausted friends face and he would throw it right back at me. I felt he was thinking “ I gave her my best and this is the thanks I get, WORMED!” And I was thinking “I gave him the best product that is out there and this is what I get, to wear it home on my shoulder, helmet and shoes.”

More research on my part lead to discovering that horses would benefit from electrolytes during their activity as well as afterward, but they couldn’t store it up from their feed the night before.

I developed the equine electrolyte bar as a way to deliver electrolytes on the trail so my horse could get that tingle in his cells and be ready to move forward. And it tastes great!

Best of all if they don’t need the electrolytes treatment when offered, they don’t eat it. If they are feeling low on electrolytes they gobble it up. They are great at survival and will take good care of themselves if allowed.

I hope that anyone who tries the bars will enjoy the results as much as I have enjoyed seeing my horses excel in their efforts to please me.
