Horses Are Like Humans
Our cells and a horse’s are very similar in the way we function during activity.
We sweat through our skin, horses sweat through their skin.
We have long and short muscle fibers, horses have long and short muscle fiber.
Humans and horses also have similar lung to leg ratios.
Horses, as well as, humans need electrolytes during activities to remove toxins that build up during exercise.
Why Traditional Electrolyte Treatments
Don’t Work
Electrolytes are water-soluble and cannot be stored in the body for future use.
By forcing electrolytes in a horse's feed on a daily basis or the night before an event, you are making their organs work extra hard to expel the salts.
Remember electrolytes cannot be stored in their bodies any more than you can store electrolytes. Horses will drink more, pushing their kidneys to work harder, to get rid of what they can’t use or need at that moment. Repeat this too often and you could be damaging their kidneys.
On the other hand we should not deprive our horses of the needed electrolytes during their activity. It would be like a coach telling his team, no sport drink during the game. You should have had enough before the game, or take it when you get home. But when you need it the most, NO help for YOU!
Why Stam-E
Stam-E is the first product developed to meet the real need
of the equine athletes’ demand for electrolytes.
Stam-E
was created to be given to your horses just an hour before workouts or an event, always keep fresh water available and offer the next bar during activity or through out the day as a treat. Your horse will drink when he needs to and his body will make the demand on him when he is ready for the next bar. Horses are very well equipped for survival and they know their body's requirements far better than we do. This takes the guesswork off of you and your horse will show the results
you want.
No mess, no paste, no wasted food, no hassle.
What Horse Lovers Like You Have to Say About Stam-E Equine Electrolye Bars
As a large and small animal vet I have suggested Stam-E bars to several of my horse clients with great success. Everything from polo ponies to dressage horses, and horses that are non-sweaters. The results are consistent and beneficial to both the horse and client.
I have used Stam-E for 5 years and I would not trail ride in Florida without them. When I ride with other people my horse is one of the first to drink, while other riders worry if their horse will stay hydrated, I don't have to care. I know he is, and he only eats the Stam-E bars if he needs them. I can't afford to waste my money on any other electrolyte product I know this works!
I love the Stam-E bars! I give a bar to catch my horse before trailing, he thinks he is getting a treat. I then offer him water when I off load and get ready to show and he drinks. I feel good about showing him when I know he is comfortable and ready to give me his best.
I tried it on my horse and I like it myself. I do a lot of three-day events as a vendor. It's easy because you can just carry it with you. The fact that you don't shove it in your horses' mouth--they just take it--- it's very nice.

All of my horses have given a very enthusiastic “2 hoofs up” to the electrolyte bars.
